Currently the municipal water supply is non-potable and discolored due to the storm damage with higher than normal chlorine levels. The turbidity (discoloration) in the water is caused by very small particles, which has caused the city of Asheville not to be able to run the water through their treatment plant.
We have the equipment needed to remove the turbidity (discoloration), chlorine and the possibility of bacteria contamination from the current city water supply. Please be aware that all standard “city water filters” will not correct the current issues. If you have questions, please contact us via email or by phone to discuss. We would normally recommend only a carbon filter for city water, but at this point that will only remove chlorine/chemicals. A carbon filter of any size does not have the ability to remove turbidity or the potential bacterial contamination.
The 1st Picture is a Free-Standing Filter Housing that we can use the .2 micron filter.
The 2nd Picture is a standard backwashing (self-cleaning) carbon filter.
Removes the turbidity or carbon filter for chlorine/chemical removal – can be used for other types of filters as well.
The 3rd Picture is a Wall-mounted Filter Housing that we can use a .2 micron filter to remove the turbidity or a carbon filter for chlorine/chemical removal
Can be used for other types of filters as well.
