FLETCHER, NC --
Talk about a tight squeeze... Six inches of total depth to work with is about as tight as it gets when it comes to plumbing water filtration, but we made it work! The customer elected to have us install a 20" canister filter up front, and an Ultraviolet (UV) Light. The plumbing was tricky, due to space constraints, but where there is a will, there is a way (apparently).
Something that needs considering when installing a UV Light is how the bulb will be changed. According to the manufacturer's recommendation, the bulb should be changed one year after replacement. This can be difficult when space is severely limited but, in this case, there was just enough space to maneuver the bulb. Something that needs considering when installing a 20" canister filter is the amount of space below. Ideally, there needs to be enough room to place a bucket underneath when changing.
This was a fun and challenging fit, but we're thrilled that the customer is happy and we were able to make the squeeze!
